Impressions of my Hometown Gouda, The Netherlands

Having been asked quite some times of where I'm from, I have made this video about my hometown, which is Gouda (yes where the famous cheese is from) in The Netherlands.

Unfortunately, the weather conditions weren't that good to take great pictures, but I did my best. Main thing is that it'll give you an impression of this nice historic town, where I've lived for over 30 years.

It's a really nice town.I used to live there some years ago.When I look at it now I can hardly remember the streets,the only thing that comes to my head is the town's central square and the big ''HEMA'' store :)

My paternal ancestor lived there in the early 1600s and was a member of St Jins Kerk- he may be buried there. I greatly appreciate the video.

My ancestor Cornelis came from Gouda to New York in 1654 and I am putting together a video tracing that ancestry from Gouda through the years to 2010. I have the "paper"geneaology and am working on the video. I would like to use portions of your video.

The opening shot is of wher my Opa (Dikke Jan) Mul (grandfather) had his café (pub/local). Lange Tiendweg 4.

I was born in the Bockenbergstraat. Attended the Jan Ligthartschool, until we migrated in April 1956.
