I tried this, and it responded by exiting the Steam client. Good job Valve!

Hey all, I've been having the same trouble with this, but instead with the error message saying "Steam servers are too busy to handle your request." I've tried everything to look for a solution to this, i've deleted the registry .blob, tried connecting from a different area, etc. etc. I finally found a fix. Go to Steam directory, and delete the "appcache" and "config" folder. Right click on the steam exe, and launch as admin. type in your account info, and try it again.

MY FUCKING GAMES NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOO YOU MONSTER! I HAD CRACKED STEAM TO GET THAT OMG! -
We need a class action lawsuit against steam. We've bought these games. They took the money into their bank accounts and are not delivering the product. That is technically fraud. When you pay for something you should be able to use it immediately. Steam is operating an illegal racket, taking money in and not delivering the products users paid for. Steam should either refund everybody's money, or unlock all games so that they can be played without steam's permission. It's theft otherwise.
