This reminds of my coworker Bob Bohdan (800) from Philly he works at St. Joes hospital and this is exactly how he is, he always wants to be incharge, he acts just like Barney a real ball buster or so he thinks..LOL

If I remember correctly, Don Knotts said that these particular scene required a lot of takes because he kept cracking up at Howard McNear. I loved this show, great comedy is timeless!
