Obviously your Missus was not home when you rebuilt it on the kitchen table :)

I'm not sure which size bit I used, but I may have given it a couple of mild hits with my impact screwdriver and a rubber mallet.

Great video, and thank you very much.
Have you found a Lock Nut Wrench (special tool 07916-2830000) for removing the oil filter rotor? I think I found a superceded one at LawnMowerPros blah blah blah dot com.
(their site takes forever to load...)
Oh, and the manual does tell you to remove the phillips-head screw on the filter cover. Page 20, Step 5 - "Remove the screw from the oil filter cap".

@tomfarr56 Cool, let me know if the wrench works and the p/n.At my last oil change, I had to clean the oil filter while on the bike with the cover in place because I couldn't figure out how to get it off. How did you get your cover off?

@guitartec
The wrench works GREAT!
Go to Motionpro's site. Part # 08-0015
To remove the oil filter cover, first, remove the phillips-head screw in the center.
Next, insert a 8mm bolt into the hole. Screw it in until it bottoms, and then keep screwing it as it pushes the cover off. There is an o-ring around the edge of the cover, which makes it a tight fit.
Then you have to flatten out the locking ring tab (one of several), and that will allow the wrench to do it's thing.

@tomfarr56 How do you keep the engine from turning when you turn the phillips head screw?

@guitartec
Did you not read Page 20 of that Shop Manual you show at the beginning of your video? It tells you everything I have said, including "...place a soft metal bar between the gear teeth..."
I used a piece of tapered wood, myself, only because it was handy. Watch for small pieces of wood left behind, if you do it this way.

@tomfarr56 Yes, I read it a long time ago and tried it using a Craftsman #3 Phillips head screwdriver and a piece of wood, but I couldn't get the torque I needed to turn the screw.
