  • what I dont get is why even push it into winamp. why isnt there a config for output and port # so you can send it right to a shoutcast server either localhost or remote?

  • You can use EDcast and virtual audio cables - direct streaming from output, no intermediate CODEC.

  • You lose a lot of quality like this. your MP3 sources -> WMA -> MP3 > shoutcast...

  • thank you alot!!

  • Good that someone saw fit to point out about the PRS licensing. For some reason, in these 'how to set up a radio station' videos (and tutorials), noone bothers mentioning legal aspects (which are regional specific) or the fact you may need to check for regional legal compliance such as content licensing. Why bother using a streaming output (and also transcoding) to feed Winamp, when for peanuts (if that), you can directly route the audio via wire and a line-in from a spare set of soundcard o/p

  • what version of mixmeister is this?

  • contact our tech support guy for free broadcasting

  • And also aparat from the streamming you need to obtain a PRS for music licence. to stream over the internet £50.00 a year from Ofcom

  • 10x a lot for this mate!!! very usefull... =)

  • many thanks, was having problems first of all but got there in the end, ive just finished my first session and it went perfect. sick qualtiy and everything. one thing you might wanna put in the side bar info, in the latest mixmeister i think its 7.4 the broadcasting component has been removed due to 'faults' but it should be back once theres a nother update :D that was on the numark help forum so.. not lieing
