God I miss that car;-(. That was before it was even fast lol.

(Yea, that was my roadster, stock bottom end with the "little" turbo on it) The funny thing is it really did still laydown 550whp with 3 cylinders gone. My 95 S52 M3 track toy was a more modest ~500whp daily driver/RR car. The seats really made it not too fun on the street.
Now, I'd give a left nut to have some of the money back I had in those cars.

To put an American engine in a German car and vice versa is HERESY!!! >:(

The motor internals were 100% stock. It was simply putting lots of boost in a stock motor to see what it could handle. For good people to look to for building a motor I would say... ICS, Maximum PSI, Technique Tuning, and Active Autowerke.

Valetudospang, talk to George the owner of ICS Performance of Stanford, CN. He owns a black m coupe twin turbo got a new fuel system running a stock block. His car is a beauty he smokes in 2nd with ease. He dynoed at over 700rwhp and over 550tq. You can find some videos on it by looking up the YouTube account named "Dynoflash" best tuners for your import cars they do crazy shit with Evos Suburus and BMWs. Hope I could be of help!

This was on the stock block? I'm trying to build a 550+whp M Coupe is there anyone you would recommend to talk to?
i am thinking about buying my parents m roadster from them because i know they never drive it and i'm sure they wouldn't mind the garage space. is there anything i can do to get it around the 450-480 hp level without going with forced induction, and how much would i be looking at spending?

If you want a 450hp M Roadster without forced induction, put a modded small block chevy in it. An estimate to get you to that level is $15k with all the supporting mods needed to make the conversion.

wouldn't that weigh alot more than the i6 though? and do the make centrifugal superchargers for them?

Both the S52 and S54 are iron block. The LS1 and up came with an aluminum block, so no you aren't taking a weight penalty. You can find centrifugal superchargers, blowers, and turbos for both the chevy and the S52.
