Nicki is a daughter, a sister, and a mother of a new baby girl born 5 weeks early. She had a very severe case of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome brought on by HELLP Syndrome and fought for four weeks on a ventilator. Nicki went to be with the Lord and was completely healed on September 23, 2009. Her autopsy results revealed that she had contracted the H1N1 virus.

  • Thank you to everyone for the compliments. After reading some of the comments, I realized that some of you think that I am Nicki's sister, Katie.

I am an old acquaintance of Nicki's from High School. After so much prayer for her family, and witnessing their strength love and courage, I wanted to do this for them, as well as all of her many friends. I'm sure though that Nicki's family will be reading these comments and your best wishes. Please continue to pray for them! Thanks again.

  • My prayers and thoughts go out to your family. I am so sorry for your lost. I'm a recent survivor of ARDS. Even though it's hard and I want to give up all the time, i look at your video and think about how wonderful life is. Please share her memory and keep the doctors researching ARDS. I don't understand how probably the biggest killer in the world is unknown!

I wish your family the best and I know she's in a better place. God bless!

  • Lovely tribute to a lovely girl.I went to school with Bonnie, Nicki's mom. I feel I know Nicki now, though I never actually met her. I know we always remember the "good" things about people but you can tell from all the hundreds of positive, loving posts throughout her illness, that she truly was a special girl, one of God's special angels whose time was short here. I pray Gods healing & wisdom-there was a reason for this-her (& her families) witness touched lives and saved souls. Glory.

  • Thank you for sharing the video it was perfect! My thoughts and prayers to Nicki and her family as my friends and I lift them up. God bless! Josef
