An aftermarket intake on an RX8 might add 2 or 3 HP at the most. Any difference you "think" you feel is all in your head. Mazda squeezed out all they could with the RX8's current intake.

a lot dude lol. i have a red aem intake in mine and god everything got better. sounds a lot deeper, much better midrange pull (makes for AWESOME passes on the highway) and i'm starting to see the improved mpg. well worth every penny.
