@lydiabug7 Good luck with your daughter and remember that she might decide what types of dancing she likes best as she gets older.

@lydiabug7 Often lyrical routines deal with sadness, loss, hurt or other difficult emotions to be presented onstage. Even for young lyrical dancers, often the first emotions tackled are lighter and happier to allow them to get in touch with presenting their feelings for an audience. Certainly at this age I would recommend jazz, ballet and creative movement classes, as your daughter grows it is also important to take classes to improve technique in these disciplines, not simply choreography.
