This great looking A330 comes in at gate 15 upon arriving from Bahrain. With a turn over of a bout 40 mintues, GF sends all types of it's fleet to RUH. Long gone the days of flights GF to AUH or MCT from RUH. Enjoy!

  • Gulf air had hubs at Abu Dhabi and Muscat before the emirs there decided to create their own flag-carriers. Gulfair is a godd airline that could be much better.

  • @am1966ath GF is a bit weird. In the 70's it was fantastic but now they are not committed to high quality service to compete with the ME3 although they can as they have good connection times. Currently their prices are slightly cheaper than the competitors but also is the service.

  • @hmasurg Very weird airline, but in the 1970S they were dominating the Gulf with 3hubs,Bahrain,Abu Dhabi and Muscat..todays competition from Emirates alone is formidable..the decline of GF also shows on Bahrain, its a 1970S sort of place,,you feel that the growth is elsewhere.

  • @am1966ath GF really wshould get its service persona back as in the 70's, it is a shame to see this striking livery go to waste, Bahrain may not be growing as fast as others in the gulf but I feel there is movement forward as it is now marketing itself as "Business Friendly Bahrain". I feel that VERY soon BAH will not be big enough to accommodate the need as it is growing as a connection hub fast. The problem is, where can they expand- Muharrag island is already full!

  • Haha. I Remembered.. Gate 15 was also the gate of Cathay Pacific when we went for vacation to the Philippines. :D but it was at night. and gulf air was at gate 14. :D

  • @truly0phinoy Yeah that sounds accurate. 2 weeks ago I arrived on GF A343 which parked at 14 while next to us at 15 was CX's A333 ready for departure to HKG via BAH.

  • @hmasurg Yes but Gulfair keeps leasing new aircrafts which it then returns, Bahrain airport is old, GF service is falling when many other carriers around it are superb. I walked around downtown Bahrain and I understand that its a banking-centre(islamic banking) and a retail sector/souk dominated by indians but I found none of the dynamism of Dubai. GF strenght is more and more their lower prices.

  • @hmasurg Haha. That was CX742, and the other times of the day its CX 733 which leaves for HKG at 11pm, but no stop in BAH.

  • @hmasurg Anywways. do the A330-200 of Gulf Air have PTVs?

  • @hmasurg and you have vids in manila also.. you live there also? or just visit?
