I don't get where people think Reid deserved that punch. Luke & Noah broke up months ago, Luke told Noah he needed all or nothing & Noah said he couldn't do it so Luke told him it was over. Guess you missed that episode. Reid did not make a move on Luke until way after they broke up. He constantly asked Luke & was trying to push them back together by talking to Noah.

Noah is a total douche. Reid didn't deserve that punch at all! Noah broke up with Luke! He told him Luke didn't need his permission to date! I could go on and on, but bottom line: Noah doesn't deserve Luke after everything he's done. Reid and Luke are a much better couple!

As a Luke fan who has been watching through three horrible years with Noah, the least they could do is give Luke a happy ending with a REAL MAN like Reid. They owe to to Luke's character not to leave him in an emotionally abusive relationship with a Neanderthal like Noah.

@anniemann101 First of all, don't call me an "elder"...I'm not THAT old...I was 5 when I started watching! LOL Secondly, I was merely pointing out that there are different opinions and you shouldn't be so upset by differing opinions. I am also a long time fan of Jake and Van, and their characters. I would like to see them happy, which they have not been for a long time. The magic has gone out of their relationship. Why not let them mature, grow and move on? That's all.

@anniemann101 I have been watching this show for almost 40 years, and I would like a Luke/Reid ending. You can't speak for all of us! We all have different opinions. I happen to think a fitting ending would be Luke and Noah growing out of their young love teenage relationship and moving on. That is what normally happens in real life - why not in soap-land?

I like Nuke, I love Lure. To me Reid really did hate Luke at first, then they started working together on the new wing (probably why Bob said Reid couldn't have both since Luke's basically paying for it) and then Luke defended him, which I think Reid finds attractive since not a lot of people defend him. Also Reid didn't make a move until he thought that Noah had moved on, even if he really hadn't.

Many fans of Luke/Reid are former Nuke fans who deserve a good ending just as much as anyone else. I loved Nuke until they proved time and time again that they were toxic for each other. Re: the break up, if you ask the person you've been dating for three years what you are to each other and he says "We're friends!" then the break-up has already happened. Noah just didn't have the balls to say it and instead he forced Luke into making the decision.

Reid told Noah that he was going to perform the brain surgery on him, if Noah got rid of Luke for a while. Okay, maybe "got rid of" isn't proper word usage here. But Reid did tell Noah that Luke needed to back off. Noah and Luke were in a relationship at first, and Reid is Noah's doctor. It just doesn't seem right.
