It's About Time "Pilot" Joe E. Ross, Imogene Coca. (Pilot) This short lived series was about 2 astronauts Frank Aletter and Jack Mullaney, accidentally travel back in time to prehistoric Earth after breaking the speed of light. Unable to return for a time, they make friends with the "Cavemen" and woman Joe E. Ross, Imogene Coca, Jack Norton and Mike Mazurki. After the series failed in the rating, the format was reversed to where the astronauts are able to repair the space capsule and return the present time 1966 along with some cave family friends. The show had a very limited run. Produced by Sherwood Schwartz of "Gilligan's Island" fame. They also used some of Gilligan's incidental music on this show to save money and some of the "Island"s set.

  • It was canceled unfortunally due to poor ratings. The Apollo fire had nothing to due with that.

  • @duncanedwards036 Yep, I remembered the theme & that allowed me to find it here. Not four anymore-- today I find it truly awful, not surprised it didn't last.

  • They speak ENGLISH???

  • I remember loving this show when it first aired. Of course I was what? Four? Yeah, but I ran to the TV when that goofy theme began.

  • Good thing cavemen spoke English.

  • Some others I remember-....Hey Landlord!.....Me and The Chimp.....Capt. Nice...Mr.terrific. My mom had meetings at home for Jr. Girls sunday school class the same time the Monkees came on-it was a popular class we had a new 26 inch color TV!

  • I loved this show. So many like "He and She", The Mother's In Law, Love on a Rooftop" etc. are mainly forgotten.

  • Gosh so glad to find this. I thought about this show when Sherwood passed away last week, and wondered if I would find any footage online. If I recall this came on Sunday nights in between Lassie and before Sullivan. (In the former My Favorite Martian timeslot). When it was canceled, didn't Gentle Ben take this spot?

  • I was only 4 when I watched this show but I still remember it. I haven't seen it since then. It's never aired anywhere I have lived. I remembered the song and two guys and the space ship and the dinasaurs. I didn't remember Imogene Coca, I guess I didn't know who she was at the time. Thanks for posting it.

  • @BusterTV1 its ratings were so poor because the cavemen's accent is difficult to listen. However the plot is good.
