More than 450 people - representing a broad cross-section of Houston - gathered in the city's Skyline District at a peaceful demonstration calling for the end of poverty-wage jobs in Houston. The protestors - many of whom clean downtown buildings and make just $9000 annually as janitors - were gathered outside of JP Morgan Chase when police horses trampled multiple protestors. Shortly after, one of the protestors, who was attempting to assist one of the janitors trampled by the police horse, was arrested.

With out unions we would not have a 5 day work week. Learn a little history. before you condemn people for doing what americans have been doing for decades, fighting for our RIGHTS. @shawndw1000 = ignorant halfwit troll, paid to be stupid.

At no point did they say you should stop protesting. They told you to get off the road. If you crowd yourselves around a horse, screaming and yelling, even hitting the horse, its not just going to stand still, its going to move about, hence why ONE person was knocked over. There is nothing wrong about a peaceful protest, but standing in the road, blocking traffic and screaming at officers when they ask you to just step on the sidewalk isnt going to help anything.

ok. 1) I didnt see anyone get trampled. 2). I did see many people failing to obey a lawful order to move to sidewalk. 3) Did these people have a permit? You just cant block a city street just because you want to protest. If this was allowed, chaos would rein. Like them or not, if we dont have law and order, we have anarchy. If you want to protest, go through the proper channels in the proper way. NO I dont feel sorry for anyone. They were ask to move first. Then they were made to move.

it's people with your attitude that cause this. it's pointless trying to get through your stone head into your brain the size of a penny any sort of point. you're just as bad as the CEOs that underpay them. don't bother answering back.

Nope, someone else will clean. That is why they can not strike. They have no talent any idiot can do their job; so they get paid shit. If they want to quit fine you can drag anyone off the street to do what they do. If they were skilled then could all go on strike and demand higher wages. However, they are useless cunts who are easily replaceable. Why would I get a crap job, that pays horrible. I am quite happy where I am now thanks.

are you fucking kidding me?!? did you even READ what i just told you?!? or can you even read? if they didn't clean the buildings, your fat ass would be sitting in a pile of garbage. you wouldn't be doing anything productive all day, because you would be bitching about how no one ever cleans the building. keep up that attitude, and that very well may happen, so why don't you go get off your fucking high horse and go get a job like that BEFORE you comment.

It is a crime to impede the flow of traffic. So stop bitching that physical force was used to detain criminals. Also stop bitching about them being underpaid. They clean fucking buildings. A trained monkey can do that. They should go get real skills if they want more money.
