Testing my new Apogee Duet and SM57 with Garageband. I'm using my Suhr Modern and OD10se+ into a Randall 2x12" with Celestion 70/80's. I am at a fairly low volume. Pickup is a Duncan Blackout AHB3.

Like always this solo is not note for note but my take on it :)

  • Hello,

    Sounds and looks great.

What software do you use to sync your audio and video?

  • @myonlydanger

I now use Logic Pro 9, I used to use ProTools, but I prefer Logic.

  • hey,

just had a question, does the duet work with any DAW just as easily?

  • @Zalera

I know for sure that it works with Logic, Garageband and Soundtrack Pro.

  • hey Mark, did you get the Axe-FX from Long and Mcquade? or online?

  • @ahvaimusicom

You have to purchase direct from the manufacturer Fractal Audio

    I'm a product of the 80's, I like distortion :)

  • Playing an electric guitar 'Clean' in a room full of the most modern technology available is tantamount to buying a Bugatti Veyron and pushing it down the street! Lay it on, man.

  • Hello.

    Is it anybody out there?

  • Mr. Sam..if I may ask you a request sir. I am having a time learning the song "Midnight Rain" by Vinnie Moore. It sounds easy but it's not for me. If you could search for it on Youtube and give it a try..I would be beyond grateful and thanks in advance.

  • you've got great gear, so why are you using those celestion 70/80's ? They're pretty terrible speakers, they sound very thin and flat in an AB test. Swap them out and you'll be amazed at the difference.

  • @samhillband Who doesn't?:)

Great playing by the way, the blackouts worked very well in that song, I did not anticipate that

  • Very nice..one of my all time fav solos..did it justice!

  • fantastic....

  • That was great, champ!

  • non basta una testata da 4000 euro per uscire come Gilmour...

  • I never play note for note,,,I can't.....but when you play with feel. You got it.

  • Hey Mark,

Great playing as usual. Any possibility we might ask you to do the same solo via your AxeFX? I've always loved this song, too.

    Best.
