Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured it was about too.
It kinda implies how sad some people are, not the ones sending the e-mail but those who freeze-frame the pic and so forth...
Actually, if I would send an e-mail I would demand them not to black out my e-mail just to confront with all morons who would reply to me. It would be kinda fun... Hey it's only e-mail though. I have spam filter enabled too so.

The blacked out areas are to keep people like us doing the crazed fan thing of taping the show, capturing that frame and emailing these innocent folks with lots of garbage about Craig.
Sadly they have to black out their email addresses. Some of us have no impulse control!
examples:
"Hey, man, how could you bother Craig with that stupid question?" or "I have such a crush on Craig, don't you?" or even "I want to see the pencil movie!"
