  • "We need to talk about whooping Kevin's ass."- Korey

  • It was watchable, but only 'cos i read the book.

I think it's a bit disjointed, though, and so would be hard for mainstream audiences to follow. In my opinion they should've stuck with the letters format, and had the Mother do the voiceover.

It annoyed me they removed the most touching part in the computer virus scene, too. Having Kevin say to his Mother he'd infect the computers of her enemies and that she has 'friends in low places' was really touching.

  • I really liked the movie, but its music just sucks. It even ruined a few scenes.

  • I just watched this film and I have to say that i have no words on how to describe this. I love every second, really powerful and moving!

  • Maternity is an endless nightmare.

I can tell. I saw this movie.

  • So what's this movie about ..?

  • @devilcry4541 I don't agree that's what it's saying at all, the film is about post natal depression and complete rejection of her own born child, something she is supposed to want to love with all of her soul, it just wasn't there, Kevin felt that from the moment he was born and thus became obsessed with trying to capture her attention in any way possible. I agree that nobody is born evil, did you not see that it was his environment? Ezra Miller was asked a similar question in an interview.

  • @kumarina

    Epigenetics.

    The end.

  • @Ticklytinker It's interesting isn't it how in the book an entire voiceover provides the story I assume? Whereas in the film Eva barely says much at all, I think maybe the reason they didn't go with the voiceover is because Lynne Ramsay said she didn't want to make a social commentary, the film provides the possibility of a psychological analogy from the audience, I haven't read the book but from watching the film a few times I enjoy trying to make answers and de-pick what is being suggested.

  • @Ticklytinker very interesting point, I can see how that might interrupt what Lynne Ramsay was trying to do with it though, as it was around the point of the bow and arrow gym scene, I think it becomes evident in some other parts that he does just truly want her attention, such as when she breaks his arm and he runs into the house, we think he will tell his father but he lies, looks back at her and she is astounded, that's when you realise that he sees it as a game, a fight between them both?

  • @devilcry4541 Well, I have an adopted cousin who grew up in a loving family, he was adopted cus the couple couldn't have children, but later they had one cute girl. The boy despite all the love and attention is involved in drug and violences issues. So explain me, if this boy was getting all the support from his parents, and never knew about his adoption.....why is he suposed to be involved in that kind of shit? I think there's something called SOCIOPATiC PEOPLE, and those are not made, born.

  • He looks just like Richard Ramirez lol
