DCIS is the most common type of noninvasive breast cancer. It develops in the ducts of the breast and is also called in situ disease.

In this video Dr. Hwang discusses how DCIS is a key to understanding who gets invasive cancer and why. From this understanding, researchers can create better treatment options and also find the mechanisms which lead to preventing cancer in the future.
