  • when you release the throttle...its makes a funny sound...that's because you have 2 two gapes where the screw is missing...

    I have the R1200R with also this akrapovic...I have 1 DB killer out ...

  • @jaspervd1 - You're right it does sound raspy. I might be getting a new R1200R soon, with the twin-cam engine. I think the new Akrapovic systems for that bike now only have one exit hole. I'll post a video if I ever get around to getting the new bike, and I'll definitely go with Akrapovic again! It will be interesting to see if they sound much different.

  • Very true! I need a decent Video Camera, I'm still using a camera designed for pictures.

    I have heard Remus pipes on other BMWs, I want to say that the Remus is probably going to be louder, but Akrapovic is so refined, perfect in my opinion.

    Very nice growl at idle and low rpm. Screams when you get on the throttle. I have noticed an increase in power in higher rpm range.
