The University of Connecticut School of Law designated the 2010-2011 academic year as the "Year of the Book." Prior to the year ten members of the faculty had recently authored substantial monographs from major presses - four from Oxford University Press and three from Cambridge University Press.

The yearlong celebration included a series of "Author Meets Reader" workshops at which a scholar from another school - the reader - shared his or her thoughts on one of the new books written by a member of the Law School faculty - the author.

Author: Steven Wilf, Associate Dean for Research & Faculty Development and Joel Barlow Professor of Law

Book: Law's Imagined Republic: Popular Politics and Criminal Justice in Revolutionary America (Cambridge University Press)

Reader: Alison Lacroix, Associate Professor of Law, University of Chicago Law School
