@JoannaAngelo101 I've read your Quran. The passages you relate to in the book are sketchy and vague at best.

IN FACT. It never directly seys 'I MOHAMMED, CONDONE THE SLAVE TRADE'. It never not once in any way seys that. It only gives a definition and ruling that slavery in a singular example is bad. It never condones the act of SLAVERY itself.

I realised it was carefully written because in that period of time Slavery was such a big part of Muslim culture he might upset people politically.

Wow. Such Ignorance. Here's (apparently) a little known fact : The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) & his best friend Abu Bakr (ra) used to buy slaves..and FREE them, because they believed it was wrong. By the way, Islam does not condone slavery of any race. We are only slaves of Allah, not of one another. It's strictly forbidden to believe otherwise.

@TheKidomarufan its true that the arab slave trade predates islam, but even before then they called themselves moors and were people of different races.after islam it was all done by muslims. calling it a muslim slave trade is like calling the western one a christian slave trade, but calling it arab is like calling western one spanish
