  • @go2viraj your not the only 1 :/

  • I was at Menace boss battle and then save file got corrupted :( life really sucks

  • awesome game. I thought it was the best Castlevania since Symphony of the Night.

i know but this was my first castlevania game when i bought it a couple of years ago. i wouldn't have bought it if a friend hadn't recommended it to me and i hadn't played cv4 on an emulator. Let's face it: this boxart sucks. I'm glad konami is using ayami kojima in their artwork again. whoever did the artwork on portrait of ruin and dawn of sorrow couldn't give them the gothic feel kojima's artwork has. And don't even get me started on takeshi obata's work on castlevania judgement.

  • @martooxxx i follow a different rule when i go getting games at shop:

"it's a 2d castlevania? i get it... i don't have the console? i buy it for that game"

or maybe the box art is bad. it is a fantastic game and i'm glad i picked it up but if i hadn't been told how good it was i wouldn't have picked it up from a store. the boxart isn't appealing, it looks like a crappy anime game i would never be interested in. if you look at the aria of sorrow boxart, for instance, there's a badass looking guy holding a sword in a gothic setting. i find that more appealing that a bunch of anime character's pictures randomly arranged on top of a box.

  • @omegagamer2 But I love looking ridiculously deeply into things... =P

  • @kirbyfreek33 or maybe you're looking too much into it

  • pitch black intrusion > baby

  • The most nonsensical parts of the cover art IMO are that 1: Hammer is running about when he spends the entire game standing around in a shop and fantasizing about Yoko, and 2: that Mina takes such a large place compared to the other characters, even though she is only seen at the beginning, heard partway through, and seen again for a short time if you have gotten past the bad ending brick wall. The others are either main villains, or playable through various modes, justifying their active poses.
