IRC 2010 Madeira Magalhaes' big crash

Bruno Magalhaes just had a big crash during the Intercontinental Rally challenge event in Madeira. Co-driver & driver are both okay.

He tried to hold the car straight while tryin to stop it on the handbrake for as long as he could, then tried to turn as he approached to the corner but the car stil had huge speed. No other driver would have done anything any different to be honest.

@bmxpunk2 he was out of breaks after the jump, thats why he pull the hand brake to try to get slow , but he was on 5gear , no change to stop....

Provavelmente é o rally mais bonito do mundo em asfalto, so quem vai a madeira para ter uma ideia correcta de como são as estradas lá e como se anda...mas tambem é sem duvida alguma dos mais dificeis e mais exigentes para o carro e piloto, ao minino falanço e estamos fora de estrada!

In the video his brake lights never came on, so I would doubt he ever hit them. You can see him pull the hand brake and by the sound of the engine he never really let off. I would assume the was something wrong with the pace notes, either it was labeled wrong or Bruno heard it incorrectly.

I dont think downshift would slow down the car.. maybe he wold have lost the engine and crash..

I know. But he could also downshift to slow down the car and for what i see he didn't do that.... i know that the time was short but ffs he's a rally driver he should be quick...
