  • @850ovlov Yes you're right but the Short SC1 was actually a British aircraft built in Northern Ireland, not the Republic of Ireland. The first vtol aircraft was actually the Rolls Royce 'Flying Bedstead' which first flew in 1953 although this was only a demonstrator of VTOL capabilities. It's quite amusing to look at

  • @aspiringdrummer17 The first VTOL was actually designed and built in Ireland (SC1) before being sent to the Britian for further development. The SC1 first flew back in 1957 long before the P.1127 which was a development of the SC1

  • @aspiringdrummer17 i agreed bro =)

  • @superman6327 The Hawker Siddeley P.1127 flew three years before this so the Russians weren't the first, Britain was, as usual. The Americans never even managed to make their own VTOL aircraft. Not one that was safe anyway...

  • @superman6327

    Ok you were first.

    Yours still in service...OOPS.

  • lol americans think they are first in the world ! but now i can show russia was first!!!!

  • Wish there was English versions of these Russian films.

  • Як-36 //* very cute plane *-*)/

  • Soviet fighter with VTOL. Another proof of the superiority of the Russian genius. This character of the Slavs as Nikola Tesla truth to it at the end of his career was a beggar. But the majority of Soviet scholars, too, were poor after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

  • Bad fighter aircraft with weak weapon
