I have the utmost respect for my father and this song describes his unwavering character. I have never in my 32 years heard him speak poorly of anyone nor turn away an out stretched hand asking for help. When my father speaks, people listen...and so do I. The scars upon scars on his hands remind me of the sacrifces he made to provide for me. I will never forget that. This song will be played when the inevitable happens.

I have busted my butt off for years providing for my family and now thanks to long hours and hard work we will be moving into our very own home.
I got it honest, blood, sweat and sacrifice and that feeling of accomplishment when you do something for yourself without a handout. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a 20 year old construction worker and I listen to this song just about every morning on YouTube before I leave for work around 6AM. I work with my dad and I have to hand it to him and my mother for raising me right. I was taught to respect my elders, follow the law, abide by God and earn everything the honest mans way. Oh yeah, THEY ALSO TAUGHT ME HOW TO WEAR A BELT. To my generation- Pull up your damn pants and act like you've got some sense. Okay I'm done rambling!

nobody ever told me i was going to be rich. nobody ever told me i had to work my ass off every day and put myself in danger to support my wife and children. i just went out and did it. i am so thankful to be born and live in a country that gives me that opportunity every day. i raised my children to understand that hard work never hurt anyone and that anything you get in this life and feel good about, YOU WORK FOR IT!
