The asian guy's name is Jeff Han. He's the founder of Perceptive Pixel, the company that developed this awesome piece of tech. I want to know how to get a job doing stuff like that. That's incredible!!!!!

US Government had this tech back in the early 1990s, except it was multitouch with full tactile feedback and 3D displays. Maybe they'll commercialize that too in a few decades. Then haptics became obsolete and it went to fully holographic imaging systems with psionic thought-interface. They're about a century ahead of mainstream science and engineering. Unbelievable...

maybe for games and writing, but on applications like google earth a multi-touch display is way better. Just tried it at my Ipod Touch^^
