you should see our Christmas dinner for the family - on Christmas Eve, eating in tshirts and jeans etc, some with a light long sleeved shirt, eating in the back yard of my daughter's place about 8pm! We were thankful it was not hot; we could enjoy hot meats and potatoes . I remember once when it was about 110 in old Farenheit - I was perhaps 6 or 7 - but Mum, auntie and Grandma produced a hot roast dinner from a fire stove which was all Grandma had for cooking on a large scale.
