I guess this thing is not that valuable after all. You can get the same effect with something like virtual reality helmet and a comp - no need for additional books and goggles.
...seems really ingenious, creating a visual tour guide of the city as long as the markers are in place and tourists had access to rented goggles. Great for popular tourist areas. The uses in museums for educational purposes are great to make learning fun for kids as well- they talked about this. Of course, none of this is really ESSENTIAL, but there is potential and that's all that matters.
Why all the hostility towards this new technology? I'm sure it has some good uses that creative people will come up with eventually and as the technology becomes more advance. Right now I guess it has large potential for commercial use if there is a way to make widespread use of the lenses easy/accessible. Perhaps in places like amusement parks or motion-simulator rides? Imagine Shrek 3D with augmented reality goggles instead! Or perhaps on a roller coaster? The city map idea they showed
But you don't WANT to be out of the job of raising your child! WHAT would be the point of parents BEING THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! BLOODY HELL they're trying to seriously make us completely DEPENDED on technology. We musn't let them do this...
Really? And what if it starts glitching then you're like "Shit, should've have done this." Would you really remove an internal organ from yourself to get something else put in? Think about it. I understand if you have an ill organ and you get another one, but if your current one is working fine i don't see the point of removing it.
