The proper protocol is to vacate the premises during operation. Like any cleaning agent, ozone must be used properly to avoid danger. I suggest that all those interested in ozone generators learn the basic instructions that allow for safe & effective use. Actually this is THE cleanest method of eliminating mold or, another fantastic use, bio-HAZMAT sterilizations.

It has some downsides. Like it is toxic to most living creatures that will breathe or come otherwise in contact. This can be avoided.

And, also, it could damage some materials like Nylon and composite resins.

Then again, this is a tool. Just like hammer, one could build a hose or smash some toes with.
