This is from the Memphis wrestling territory, around 1985 I'm guessing, as this particular show saw Sweet Stan Lane of the Fabulous Ones as a special guest DJ on the show. Why he was a DJ I have no idea, other than to introduce some wrestling music videos I guess. Enjoy!
Great stuff Stan, going down memory lane lately, still chew your bubblegum? S'port

Stan Lane would've been an awesome radio DJ.

Back in the day teams like the R&R Express would set the place on fire. Their schtick was rediculous and they were pitifully undersized but, watch the kids come out of their seats in the crowd when these cats would get to flyin high. This was great stuff, today's wrestling is like todays Gollywood...fake lips, fake breasts, steroids, HGH, a bunch of pretenders, and they are a nightmare. I for one would go BACK IN THE DAY.

I take back what I said about the Rock 'n Roll Express, that was disrespectful, they were one of more entertaining tag teams of the 80s.

That was the beauty of the territorial days... you didn't have to be a 6'5 bodybuilding stiff to get taken seriously by promoters.

I love their matches and more fun then the matches of today.

I wish wrestling was still like this. Did you see that fan jump at the double dropkicks? That's the way it should be, but it's too fucking soap opera now.

Correct. the footage of the Rock 'n Rolls vs the Midnights is taken from Mid-South Wrestling.

The action in the video is from Mid South wrestling and this clip aired on Championship Wrestling, the Memphis-based promotion. Make sense?
