  • Smithfield Foods sucks, period. They are a rotten company to work for...read up people. o6nnc, what the hell kind of point are you trying to make? Because it's far worse in some other countries, that American workers should settle for being treated like cattle? What an idiot!!

  • I worked at Smithfield for 10 years and quit. I spoke up to bring the Union in figuring they would help the employees against the corruption of Smithfield. The Union is actually standing by and not helping the workers. the Union is just as bad as the Company itself as a matter of fact the Union anbd Smithfield are in the bed together. This Company sucks and I would rot in hell before I ever work for this Compnay ever again. This Company destoyed alot of peoples lives.

  • People who have worked many years in a factory,do in fact, develop work related injuries such as Carpal Tunnel and Tendonitis. I myself working there many years developed Carpal Tunnel. I was refused to be seen by the Company doctor and the Clinic. I finally quit when I realized that my health was on the line. I was refused job rotation and medical care by the Company clinic. This Company cares about no one. Once you get hurt on the job you are no longer needed and you are thrown by the wayside.

  • @rgrimes2007

Thank you! I work there now! I've worked in 2 stores and I've been w/ the company a while and no one has been treated like that... Just because one person was treated that way doesn't mean u have to condem the rest of us!

  • People who work in the largest slaughterhouse in the world are sickos anyway.

  • I'm having incredible difficulty understanding what he's saying

  • Smithfield Foods isnt a "rotten" company. Maybe if you talk to more than ONE of the workers, you'd see that. I've worked at Smithfield for the past year and i've met alot of wonderful people there that love their jobs. This video is just another attempt by the UFCW to get money from the many (over 3000) workers at the Tar Heel plant. Do the math.. 3000 x $30.00/month... now you see their motivation.

  • lol Larry Pope? maybe you should have paid more attention.. its Larry Johnson. lol

  • Just be glad you have a job. If you have or have had the chance to visit other places around the world, maybe this uprising will focus into an image that is way out of proportion. I think we expect things in life that aren't right... sorta like how states still post speed limits. (A mere suggestion?)

  • I think this movement by critics, workers, and yes, those few whom have been gypped by the system in search of some sort of reparations need to cool it, especially those whom are not suitable to go back to work. Its almost like you are blaming Smithfield Packing for your illness. I don't think its appropriate to point fingers.
