just use you grinder to make a slot in the cracks, heat it up cherry red, then slowy weld with a bronze iron to fill in the slot/s you made.
WORKS EVERYTIME BROTHER :)

next time, just weld the cracks after preparing them.
Iron, and aluminum blocks can be welded, would of taken you 3 mins or less

@hendu3270 - Yes... It is still holding up pretty good... Its not on the road or had a road trip yet... But its still going... I will replace the moter when i get the money... But for now its still running... Good luck....

The thermostat restricts the coolant flow. Without it the coolant moves to fast through the radiator. No time to cool down. Overheat may result. Replace or drill a few small holes in old one and reinstall. Try a heat sheild between exhaust and block. Good job so far. ^5
