  • Saw "working man's boogie" on Rage's retro special last night!

    Fantastic!

  • Damn I missed that. All I saw was that dodgy Ray Burgess "Flashez" show that was on a bit later.

  • Yeah but wheres the rest of it?

  • Maybe someone from the ABC would care to explain that one.

  • This is what's great about the internet. You hear of a band once, and you can look them up before you forget their name, and soon you've listened to a ton of songs and watched a ton of videos and read all about their history. In the past, it was hit and miss as far as what you were exposed to. I'm from Canada, so I'd never heard of the Balls or the Aztecs, but after seeing them mentioned in the recent AC/DC bio book, I was curious. I gotta say, there was a cool scene in Australia back then.

  • I just found this band by mistake and glad i did! Their frickin amazing!!! How did i not know about them?!?!?!?

  • Hell yeah!

  • Lobby Loyde is fuckin amazing

  • just been listening to the album, with extra tracks, issued on Aztec music, a fine label dedicated to australian music, this one is magnificent...

  • embryonic line up of the Coloured Balls, probably mid 1972. Lobby Loyde, guitar(of course), with what looks to be John Miglands (bass), possibly Andrew Fordham (guitar)( Fordham left the Balls after Sunbury '73 - replaced by "Bobsie" Millar) and ? on drums.

  • Great track.

  • Thta is NOT Phil Rudd on drums.
