  • Formula 2050 Blade and Bit Cleaner from Woodcraft should help. Item# 817541

Keeps blades, bits and other tools clean for longer tool life and better performance. Just wet the surface, allow a few minutes to penetrate, and wipe off the build-up.

Easily removes resin, gum and pitch without harsh or hazardous chemicals

    18 oz. spray bottle

  • @dhimes3 I like a glueline rip a 24 tooth , and prefer a full thickness blade 1/8 , the thin kerfs flex a bit too much, as to your bar rail, not sure exactly the profile you are speaking of, sounds similar to a standard hand rail , in which case doing it in 2 pieces works well, where you route the bottom section with the cove bit , then route the roundover top and glue the 2 together .

  • thanks Charles....what blade to you recommend for making cove cuts...almost an angled rip....also do you know of a site that shows how to fabricate a wood bar rail....pretty much cove cut and d roundover router except the roundover that sits on the bar.....thanks again Charles for sharing youy knowledge!

  • Charles Neil,

How do you clean a tablesaw blades if it smoking from ripping a wood?
