http://live.pirillo.com - In front of me is a small, light-weight device. I've seen it advertised in the past. When I ask people to send me ideas for cool USB products, I keep getting this one sent to me. It's a USB beverage chiller. I was skeptical as to whether one of these would work or not, so I decided to try it for myself.

  • why dont they have this for video cards? rather than liquid cooling! im guessing it is cool and hot plate one side goes hot, while the other side is really cold.

  • lawl. mac shuts off your usb devices automatically. AMAZING! totally makes me want to buy a mac that does things without my consent!

  • One thing to give some thought to is the Peltier devices and fan can draw 2 to 5 amps for the small ones. It would be nice to see what current is used by the device. It likely has some thing to limit the current drawn. Many of the little AC to USB wall warts only put out an amp. so it might turn the thing inside out over time. The Peltier device is used in the solid state refrigerator/heat boxes from Walmart that plug into your car lighter and cause the battery to go dead. Don't forget to unplug

  • @cargodudeMT saves on batteries

  • @tringuyen552911 It could, but it's awfully inefficient.

  • @cargodudeMT they already have them lol

  • But can it cool your laptop? It'd be more useful that way

  • Hold down 2 for the most epic laugh ever.

  • and why don't they integrate this laptop cooling?
