أربيل/ أصوات العراق: تمكن فريق الكويت الكويتي من التغلب على مضيفه فريق اربيل بهدف وحيد في مباراة إياب الدور ربع النهائي بكأس الاتحاد الآسيوي التي جرت، الاربعاء، على ملعب فرنسوا حريري في اربيل.
وجاء الهدف الوحيد في المباراة عن طريق اللاعب روجيريو دي اسيس سيلف في الدقيقة 76 من عمر المباراة. فيما أضاع فريق اربيل فرصا عديدة لم تثمر في تسجيل اي هدف.
وبهذه النتيجة لم يتمكن ممثل العراق نادي اربيل بلوغ الدور القادم.
وقاد اللقاء طاقم تحكيمي ايراني مؤلف من حكم الوسط محسن تركي ومساعديه رأفت ساجدي مساعد حكم أول ورسول فروغي مساعد حكم ثاني وجهانبازي يد الله حكماً رابعاً، فيما سيكون مقيم الحكام اللبناني الجنسية يزبك يزبك ومشرف المباراة ناصر حمدان العماني.
وكانت نتيجة مباراة الذهاب بين الفريقين قد انتهت في 15 من الشهر الجاري بالتعادل بهدف لمثله حيث سجل للكويت خالد سعد عجب وعادل لاربيل مهدي كريم.. اذ يكفي اربيل تحقيق التعادل من دون اهداف او الفوز باي نتيجة تذكر، فيما يلعب الكويت بعامل الفوز بأي نتيجة او التعادل بأكثر من هدف، بينما ستؤدي نتيجة تكرار التعادل بهدف واحد الى تمديد اللقاء الى الاوقات الاضافية وفي حالة الاستمرار بالتعادل يصار اللجوء الى تنفيذ ركلات الجزاء الترجيحية، فيما اذا ما سجل الفريقين اي هدف في الشوطين الاضافيين الى فوز الفريق مع انتهاء وقت الشوطين الاضافيين، اذ تبلغ فترة كل شوط 15 دقيقة.
يشار الى ان المكتب التنفيذي للاتحاد الآسيوي قرر السماح باقامة المباريات الرسمية والدولية للفرق والمنتخبات العراقية على ملعب نادي اربيل نظرا لاستقرار الاوضاع وتوفر البنى التحتية والمنشآت الرياضية التي تقتضيها اقامة المباريات.
Kuwaiti side triumphs in landmark Arbil tie

ARBIL, Iraq — A Kuwaiti football club triumphed 1-0 over an Iraqi side Wednesday in the first sports competition involving the two countries here since Saddam Hussein invaded his oil-rich neighbour in 1990.

Kuwait SC's victory over Arbil Club at the 21,000-seat Francois Hariri Stadium in Arbil, the capital of Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region, propels it to the semi-finals of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) cup.

Wednesday's fixture followed a 1-1 draw in the first leg earlier this month.

The match was a sign both of warmer ties between the two neighbours, which have clashed diplomatically in recent months over war reparations stemming from the 1990 invasion, and of improving security in Iraq.

"Today's match is a wonderful historic opportunity," Kuwaiti delegation head Marzoukh al-Ghanem told AFP before kick-off.

"We are pleased to visit Iraq ... (and) we hope that our visit is a prelude to other international matches with Arab teams visiting Iraq."

The last Kuwaiti team to play in Iraq was the country's under-21 football team in September 1989.

"We are delighted with the visit of the Kuwaiti team ... We hope that the visit is followed by subsequent visits by other teams, and I see this as an important event for Iraqi football," Kurdish minister for youth and sport Taha Berwari said.
