@bizinessfirst oh the profanity was sort of directd at him. nevermind, i am badly mistaken it's just that tere are so many ass holes on here. Oh and I never said you said that I mean if Don thought that we shouldn't be whining about it because it's played in rap songs he is maybe being stereotypical

@RaptorQueen When did I blame you for anything, and how is IMUS a representative for the white community in the same respect. I don't believe all black women rump shaking Hoeing gold diggers and please tell me where i stated such a thing.

Nobody got all crazy about that.... I agree, that his type of humor may be too much for regular TV, and as i do not know him personally, you never know he could be racist, but to silence him for saying something not nearly as bad as some others I've heard is a little off scale.
-
@RaptorQueen You raise a healthy point, but if I'm not mistaken, Rappers have been using these deplorable terms for some time now, and which one of them has been silenced for it? I like rap and I know that the usage of these foul terms are wrong and offensive. As far as me and Don getting offensive at rappers talking about white women in these derogatory ways, They already do! and not just generally about being women they slurr with the use of this becky as in head like a white girl gives.

@bizinessfirst well first off fucking all it's a bullshit excuse since all gngsta rappers aren't representatives towards the black community. Many of us have too much self respect for that, oh and by the way we're not all rump shaking hoeish gold diggers. That's not really fair. Also I understand that there are people of minority who can be unreasonable, but don't blame us all.

It's still disrespectful towrds women. Even if it was true for all of us that doesn’t' mean Imus should have done that. I bet if the rappers in the "black community" talked about Caucasian women you and Imus would get all pissy.
BOTTOM LINE just because you here someone disrespect women doesn't make it alright. So there is actually no excuse, and if Don isn't mature enough to know the difference from right or wrong perhaps he isn't responsible enough to be on radio.

He is no racist in my eyes, the racist people are ensconced behind their computers in their communities breathing their sick racial views through the tips of their fingers. Those people by the way are Black, White, Latino, Asian and Arab. It's obvious that this country and others regional will not be able to over come racism in the way we want, but it would be nice to see a better thread of respect for each other as humans. Racists black, White, Latino, Asian and Arab and native FUCK YOURSELVES!

I don't get why they demonize this man and portray him as this racist evil person. His show is built around (humor) and political absurdity and this country is becoming too emotional about what they hear. Fucking rappers and comedians do the same thing. Why are things not stated about how he's helped people from all different nationalities, or how he has made fun of people from all different nationalities and not just pointed the finger at black people which by the way I am.

Slowly, FREEDOM OF SPEECH is eroding from Political Correctness. Don Imus is about the only one in the media I respect for his courage to speak what's on his mind!
I'm black and I watched Imus before the incident and I still support him...what he said was reprehensible and unacceptable, but he is absolutely correct...he supported ford for senator and often spoke nicely of many african-americans...I dont hate sharpton or jackson and quite frankly advertisers cost imus his job
