I first heard this on the Radio 1 John Peel show back in 1987 or 88 and tried to find the artist / album ever since! It's only recently that i got a positive ID on it after trawling the internet and posting on many oldskool rap & hip hop internet forums asking what it might be. Nobody had the faintest idea! I eventually got a lead from a guy who thought he knew the artist.
I can't believe it took so long to find, but it was made harder by the fact that John Peel called the artist KAOSS as opposed to KAOS (with one S) but even so...!
So i figured there may be others like me that have searched in vain for years to find out who this track was by...so i hope this helps somebody somewhere!
@mkwpompeyfc It is the one and only Kenny Dope from MAW. The other DJ is called DJ Boo though, not Pooh. And if I remember correctly Afrika from the Jungle Brothers is credited as an 'ear advisor' on the back of the album. With beats by Todd Terry (around the same time as the Royal House album) this is an all star production.

The Kenny Dope he mentions is actually Kenny Dope Gonzales! He was the DJ and produced this track, before he got into releasing house / freestyle music.
I used to love this album.

I've been looking for this LP. I was a high school student in Japan (!) and my friend, who was a big music nerd like myself, had this just-released LP! I haven't seen this LP since then. This is a very hard to get record. A criminally overlooked (or just unknown) hip hop album ever released.

God this is one hell of a bangin' album.
Mad stuff.
I'm lucky enough to have this lp and spinning this recently after such a long time just thought they really don't make albums like this no more - it's a lost art for sure.
