thumbs up if your watching this to find out what Danny was unboxing :)
-
does the XLR inputs also do +4 line in or are they just mic level? do you have a dr100 vs h4n review somewhere? this unit looks to have a better build quality over the h4n.

Gradual Report-dany brought me here

did you make this video with that recording device?
-
would this be appropriate for recording mixing desk audio out for a band with no current recordings for like a live ep type thing or would the built in mic's be sufficient
or should i be llooking at a different product if so any ideas which one would be good

TASCAM or ZOOM 4N?

good review
got some additional questions though
Can it be set to record monofiles?
Will the XLR inputs accept a line signal with the phantom power turned off?
I'm going to use it to record sounds directly from the audio outs from synthesizers and drummachines and is also concidering the zoom h4n.
hello !
is the tascam a multitrack recorder, or can we only recors one tracks by one.
can we listen to one track and record another at the same time ?
thanks

no, not multitrack-technically. You can, however, overdub---record over a playback file with a new signal and mix. So multitrack, kind of.

is it possible to record to 4 channels? f. ex record simultaneously both onboard mics + mics connected to XLR.
thanks.

Thanks. Unfortunately not. However, the Zoom H4n which we are reviewing right now does. An interesting omission by Tascam which hasa long history of inexpensive multi track recorders (thinking of my 4-track cassette of yesteryear). Still, an excellent 2-track recorder for oral history.
