You have to remember that the album that became Sgt.Pepper was supposed to be a theme album about the Liverpool childhoods of The Beatles,however,when the Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane single was released(due in large part to pressure placed on the band by Capitol Records and Brian Epstein),the concept was dumped!

@MattHatter Paul actually had a very cosmetic reason for growing his moustache,on November 9,1966,Paul had gotten into a moped accident(urban legend was that he and Tara Browne,heir to the Guinness fortune were stoned out of their minds while driving them),as a result of this accident,one of Paul's bottom teeth went through his upper lip,leaving a nasty scar,so Paul grew the moustache to cover it up,the incident would haunt Paul as it provided fodder for the "Paul is Dead"rumours if 1969!

MY GOSH....are the pics at 2:00 the actual photos of them arriving for the first session for "Strawberry Fields" on Nov. 24, 1966?! Paul was the only one sporting a mustache at that point! They must have all decided to grow them after Paul did! Like, "Well mate, if you're gonna wear one, then we all are."
