well the egyptian mau cats are the ancient breeds because they used to be in egypt and in ancient egypt egyptian people worshipped cats.

I have two cats from EMRO. Wonderfull cats, really. Everyone should consider getting one, they most often are cheaper than from the breeders and you do a good thing with rescueing one or two. They are all extremely friendly, cuddly, sweet and devoted. Please check them out, you will be blessed like I am now :-)

I have 2 Egyptian meows both rescued and there great mouse cats and hunters but they do not get along vary well with others but if your pagan and follow the Goddess Bastet there really great to have

i believe that my newly adopted kitten is an Egyptian Mau even thou the Vet. told me she is a domestic cat, i still believe she is a Mau :) and she looks exactly like those cats a very fast, spotted and her eyes look like as if she is wearing mascara :) i love her <3

The Mau's are an extremely beautiful and intelligent cat and its a shame they are no longer recognized in their country of origin.
EMRO do a fantastic job, check out their website, they survive on sponsorship and generous donations.
