My worry is that if too many states opt out of the public option, that will allow insurance companies to flee states that don't opt out. This is why we need a national, mandatory public option or single payer health care.
it isn't the same as ignorance. Ignorance is when you don't know something despite the presence of knowledge. Agnosticism is a philosophy that states that the truth cannot be known. Claiming knowledge when the truth is unattained is called ignorance. For example believing that the bible has a divine origin.
I disagree; the more localized the better. Clearly, there is a rigid division between certain regions of states concerning healthcare and the way it should be administered. This is clear if we look at legislation on healthcare passed in states like CT and MA. In fact, democrats should rally around their base, which are the urban centers that, in turn, contain the most potential voters. Opt in-opt out sound like a logical, local solution.

Agnostic? Nice euphemism for "clueless".

I disagree, I don't want to abandon democrats in texas because their governor and senators are asshats
the plan ALREADY has an "opt in opt out" in the PUBLIC option. let people decide if they want to take part, not obstructionist politicians.

No, ignorance is when someone doesn't care to know the facts.

I don't like this state opt-in-opt-out thing... don't we represent ALL of the people? even Democrats trapped behind enemy lines in red states?
