When you started button mashing, I actually thought there was a fish at the end of you mic. So I guess your keyboard sounds like a flapping fish?

And about the scratchy audio and the slowdowns, I had the same thing happen to me. It might be just a faulty rom. Did you consider that?

Amazingly enough, I haven't considered that. I'll try messing around with that, I'm kind of stupid when it comes to this stuff so I doubt it'll work out in my favor. Even so, thanks for the suggestion!

The music in this game is quite good, however I profer the soundtrack of Final Fantasy VI... but I really like the first dungeon theme and town theme, imagain them in full orchestra! That would be awesome.

You're welcome. And if you find a new rom, I'm sure you already know this but it would hurt to tell you anyways, all you have to do to keep your place in the game is rename the save files to match the rom. I wish you luck in continuing your Let's Play.
