My mother died of lung cancer in 2001. I was 15 at the time. I remember she used to sing this to me eveynight at bed. Well today is 17th of October and she has been deaD 11 Yrs now. I just wanted everyone to know that with her last words ( she was panting and gasping for air) she looked at me and said "The Sweetest Thing I've Ever Known, Is Loving You."
God Bless you mama-

When I hear this song it brings back memories of a long lost love. He is still in my heart....even though he does not care...that part hurts..we could have had a wonderful life together but I chose to give him his freedom...thinking it was best for him...now I wonder what could have been if our lives had come together. He is a wonderful and loving Father and I hope that he has true happiness forever.

I really loved these Juice Newton songs from the first two albums I bought, starting with the 1981 album that had the "Angel of the Morning"! She had really good songs on both of those albums! Peace, BobbyK

My husband died in January, and when I heard this on the radio, It discribed our short 5 years together, He was 88 and I am 78. He was the sweetest thing I have ever known. I will miss him forever. Thank you for this song.

This is absolutely in its genuine simplicity,
its amazing words and melody, and divine vocal delivery, one of the most beautiful recordings ever made! I am thankful that at least for a time I lived in a country and a time where people had the heart, the sense and talent to know this was good. Long ago and far away, yet here it plays today! Thanks Juice!
