hey people out there. wanne just say that what we call pop, rock, metal are only limitations. the music can't be organised. that stuff is only IN OUR heads. what important is, wheather band/songwriter compose honestly and therefore thier music is reflection of what they feel or you do it to please general public and compromise your art in order to make a money. Well, Beatles, Zeppelin...used lotta 'OLD' stuff in thier songs so what? Beethoven did use some elements from Mozart.so what???

@HalvLion Mike Patton is clearly putting out there that the 70's mainstream is a douche thing to rip off especially when you're a modern band.
-
Ripping off Zeppelin? Zeppelin were the kings of ripping off. Way, way, way more than Wolfmother. And I don't even like the aforementioned that much.

you r moron

@DraconianLover except they sound a lot more like ACDC than led zeppelin (their music, the singer sounds alot more like the guy from led zeppelin). listen to their new album, its changed quite a bit from their first album.
also, "MUSIC FROM A GENRE THAT WAS POPULAR MORE THAN A DECADE AGO? WOW LAME GET WITH THE TIMES PEOPLE". what a fucking retard

I didn't think that any artists could be more douch then Bono... until I saw this

Mike Patton is going to hell for this

@Jabametal es lo mismo que estaba pensando ;) me gustan las dos bandas, además, esa es la opinión de Mike pero no por ser su opinión voy a sentir lo mismo XD
-
@abusethisaccount Dillinger Escape Plan - your argument is invalid.

Here's the thing... they're clearly ripping off one of the most INSANELY popular bands of all time! Led Zeppelin has probably the most talented and well known lead singer from any band, ever. They're so popular that the mere mention of their name usually is associated with the 1970s.
When's the last time you heard 60s italian pop music? It's obscure as all hell. If anything, it's an active homage to a type of music, rather than a blatant rip off of a specific band.

Hahaha, people that disagree with the General are as tone-deaf as Wolfmother.
