@RUSS16V2 Yes, I think much of the game was heavily influenced by (copied from) Sonic 2.

Is the reason why you think the Game Gear version of Sonic is atrocious because you don't like the Master System? I ask this because the Game Gear and Master System versions of Sonic are virtually the same game. This is a very pretty game, very colourful, it looks awesome on that screen.

@Lachlant1984 I don't remember if it was Sonic or Sonic 2 I referred to in this video (it was ages ago), but Sonic 2 on Game Gear is just plain awful. It's full of leaps of faith, where you have to jump without seeing what you're jumping to, and deadly drops that appear leaving no chance to save yourself unless you have memorised the level. Not good game design at all.
