@EdgePointProductions I meant that RED cameras in general are 25k + (the RED ONE being $25,000), and the better ones (such as this one) being a ton more hahaha

The Reds are good for high end cinematic production and 200 million dollar movies. The Canon DSLRS are good for students films, short films, local and national commercials, network television production, broadcast production, independent films, and selective shots in Hollywood films.

@keithdatSKRdrift The Epic was not made to trump the 5D. The owner of RED endorses Canon lenses and uses Canon DSLRs for his own photography! Adding a still feature means nothing but more features! Do you really think they spent a lot of time working on capturing a still picture on a device made for capturing images? No. They added it as an additional feature. And shooting at 300fps is not a matter of time, it's a matter of technology and price.
