A plumbing license would guarantee that the plumber in question knows what he is doing. You would need a qualification to get one.

But thats why we have things like consumer advocacy groups! Govt. issuing any sort of business license is nothing more than interference with contract. Imagine what Ralph NAder could actually do for the consumer if government would stay out of business!
