you should dive much sooner, you just missed the spot, it happens to the best!
but you shouldn't try this kind of landing if as is clearly seen you don't have control for it,

when you fly, always have open available options ahead of you for landing.
crowded beaches and water are not good options to fly around, experienced or not.
