Burke said that he was going to rebuild from the net out - a top veteran goalie and a young up and coming superstar goalie, a substantially beefed up defense that makes life hard for the opposing team and provides a quality captain in Phaneuf, a decent group of roughnecks to man the 4th line and get dirty if needed, three snipers in Kessel, Kadri and Kulemin(ironically KKK...lol) and a great set-up man and good scorer in Bozak. He wants a winger for Kaberle yet.
I like a man with a good plan.

Kulemin, Bozak, Kessel, Kadri, Sjostrom, Armstrong, Versteeg, Grabovski(if no trade), Ross, Gunnarson, Schenn, Lebda, Komisarek, Phaneuf, Giguere, Gustavsson, as well as a few more top prospects filling depth roles on the farm team or still earning their stripes in the juniors.
The Leafs currently have 7 first round draft picks that are likely to start the season next year, not including Giggy all are under 28 years old.
The Leafs future looks fine not even including any Kaberle return(s).

Actually, the year after OV was drafted (04-05, lockout year) he scored 13 goals in 37 regular season games, averaging 0.351 goals per game. Kulemin however, the year after he was drafted (06-07) scored 27 in 54 games, averaging 0.5 GPG, a better average than Ovechkin had in the same league at the same age. Now i'm not saying Nik will be better or even as good as Ovechkin is, but he did have a better scoring average in the RSL when both were 18-19 years old.

Yeah I agree. Even though he's a defensive defenceman, hopefully he'll get a few more goals this season, after all our forwards probably wont get than many.
