Thanks for the info, sucks for me! I am 32 years old next week I am in for repair of nasal septum, need my adenoidectomy and tonsil removed.

I had mine done two days ago. Honestly, the worst part was the ride home. Luckily for me, I've had a deviated septum for nine years (happened in third grade, and never got it fixed) so I haven't been able to breathe out of my nose since then, which made post-op so much easier. Although, I definitely feel for whoever has to go through this. It's not the most fun thing in the world. Great vid too :)

i'm getting my nose done tomorrow. bone is bent, so i guess a deviated septum but i'm still quite nervous about it...

Im 4 days post opp. Right nostril still dripps constantly but as long as im dosed up on pain killers it doesnt hurt much. Feels like i never had a nose, mouths always dry, so frustrating. keep waking up in puddles of blood. Im off out too get pissed anyway so wish me luck.

i'm going to have the same procedure done and was wondering how people felt post op. thanks for posting your experience on this

I have my septoplasty in a couple weeks. Doc said the other week that it's so deviated he can't see past it at a certain point on the left nostril. I elected to have this surgery done. Nervous, but hopeful. I want to breathe better. Tired of not being able to get nose meds up one side because there's not enough of an opening.

Thank you so much for the video! I go in in two weeks for my surgery and I'm terrified. I have friends just telling me how much I will hurt and laughing about how I will act on pain killers. I'm glad to see a video that is far more down-to-Earth.
Had my septoplasty yesterday. You were very right when you said not much sleep. Maybe two hours? No packing or splints. Definite dripping. The blood clots at the back of my nose are not fun. Hard to swallow them without feeling nauseated, but can't blow my nose. No vomiting, just extreme discomfort. Here's hoping to a quick recovery.

@LostJedi26 - hang in there. It will get easier. Stay on top of the pain and nausea if you can.

@contenderbp don't get freaked out. It really is not that bad. Preparation is the best advice I could give you.

@HogRebel -- Nice Video!!!! I think that will help others realize the surgery is no big deal. You look great on there and you don't sound stuffy at all. Good job!
